Too often, districts view professional development as the transfer of skills. Just show a teacher how to use an iPad and they’re good. Give them a set of tutorials on Google Apps and they’re golden. When teachers resist the technology, there’s an assumption that they have low motivation. They simply don’t care enough to try. However, in many cases, the bigger issue is that teachers have not had the opportunity to walk through the entire journey of technology integration. In this session, you’ll see each phase with a strong focus on paradigms, attitudes, and emotions that teachers experience.
